Emmanuel Emenike Extends Goal Drought To Seven Games
Published: December 24, 2014
Despite tasting action for 90 minutes on Tuesday evening in the Turkish Cup clash against Altınordu, Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike failed to score for his seventh straight game in a row.
Coach Ä°smail Kartal will not lose patience with the Nigeria international, and it has been strongly hinted by the press in Turkey that Emenike will be fielded on Saturday when they take on Mersin Ä°dmanyurdu.
The 27 - year - old was criticized for his below - par performance in the 1 - 1 draw with Altınordu in the Group D Turkish Cup tie.
There was talk that a number of English Premier League teams were interested in his services over the summer, but the Yellow Canaries denied the reports, saying no bid was received for the Super Eagles star.
Interestingly, Emmanuel Emenike has been yellow carded 4 times already this season, an average of 1 caution every 194 minutes spent on the pitch.
