African Football governing body, <span style=\"\" class=\"notranslate\">Confederation of African Football, (CAF) have announced the final three - man shortlist for the African Player of the Year.<br /><br />Nigeria international and CSKA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa failed to get the nod after making the top five.<br /><br />Super Eagles numero uno Vincent Enyeama will compete with Ivory Coast national teamer Yaya Toure and Gabonese midfielder Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the right to be officially called the best footballer in Africa.<br /><br />The winner will be announced at a gala ceremony in Lagos on January 8, 2015.<br /><br />No Nigerian player has won the award since Nwankwo Kanu scooped the accolade in 1999.<br /></span>
