Greece Sleeping Giant AEK Athens On The Verge Of Clinching Signature Of Macauley Chrisantus

AEK Athens are in advanced talks with ex Golden Eaglets sensation Macauley Chrisantus regarding a contract, according to sdna.gr

The 24 - year - old must look for a new club , having been declared surplus to requirements at Sivasspor, following the arrival of Michael Eneramo.

The 11 - time Greece champions are likely to announce the capture of the signature of Macauley Chrisantus next week.

Manager Traianos Dellas has earmarked the ex Hamburg youth  - teamer as his number one transfer target in the winter transfer market, and is hoping AEK will tie up a deal as soon as possible.

The stumbling block is that Chrisantus is currently thrashing out terms out with Sivasspor over his severance package, but that could be finalized in the coming days.

If both parties had honoured the initial agreement, the Nigerian would have remained on the payroll of Sivasspor until 2017.
