Sammy Ameobi Stars For Newcastle United In Win Over Hull
Published: January 31, 2015Former England youth international Sammy Ameobi netted his second Premier League goal of the season on Saturday afternoon, as Newcastle United thrashed Hull City 3 - 0 at the KC Stadium.
Remy Cabella opened scoring for the Magpies five minutes before the interval , and five minutes after the restart Ameobi got his name on the score-sheet, with a shot from distance that beat goalkeeper McGregor.
Frenchman Yoan Gouffran completed the scoring in the 78th minute, six minutes after he came off the bench .
Super Eagles forward Sone Aluko made his 14th appearances of the season, after replacing David Meyler ten minutes into the second half.
Newcastle United, who have 30 points, occupy the 10th position while Hull are in 18th spot.
