Official : San Jose Earthquakes Snap Up Free Agent Innocent Emeghara
Published: February 01, 2015
With a statement on the official webpage, MLS outfit San Jose Earthquakes have announced the capture of free agent Innocent Emeghara as their third Designated Player, subject to a successful visa application and receipt of his ITC.
Per MLS and club policy, the financial terms and length of contract were not disclosed by The Quakes.
“It is always good to sign a forward who has the potential to run away from the defense, but who is also clever enough to join in the play,” said Earthquakes head coach Dominic Kinnear to sjearthquakes.com.
“He is good signing for the league and our team. He will be a threat to score every time he steps on the field.
“I would like to thank ownership, John Doyle and my staff for being very thorough as we looked for a new addition to the team.”
In the past, Innocent Emeghara has turned out for teams in Switzerland, France, Italy and Azerbaijan.
