Tottenham Hotspur To Rival Newcastle United And Aston Villa For Dele Alli
Published: February 02, 2015
According to reporting by the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race to sign MK Dons starlet Dele Alli.
The Anglo - Nigerian has been linked with a departure from The Dons in the January transfer window, with Newcastle United and Aston Villa also keen on his services.
The Magpies were thought to be in pole position to land the signature of the England youth international, but Spurs are hoping to steal a march on their rivals with an offer too good to refuse.
Aged 18, Alli has spent the last seven years at MK Dons, progressing through the youth ranks before making his official debut in a goalless draw with Cambridge City in an FA Cup tie back in 2012.
He has netted 12 goals in 27 League One appearances so far this season.
