Austin Ejide ANGRY With Hapoel Beer Sheva After Club Forced Him To Join Hapoel Raanana
Published: February 06, 2015
Super Eagles custodian Austin Ejide is not pleased with Hapoel Be’er Sheva after the Israeli Premier League vice - champions attempted to trade him to Hapoel Ra’anana on the last day of the January transfer window without his consent.
The Camels hierarchy had agreed terms with Hapoel Ra’anana forward Anthony Nwakaeme, but before the switch could be completed, the club had to release Ejide from his contract in order to create space for another foreign player per league regulations.
“As soon as we wanted to bring a foreign player, it had to be at the expense of our foreign one, ”coach Elisha Levy was quoted as saying by Sports Walla.
“I have full transparency with the players, and I had a very good conversation with Faiovic and Ejide.
“They are professional players and they will do anything for the benefit of the club, for us to meet our goals.”
With Austin Ejide’s contract with Hapoel Be’er Sheva due to run out in the summer, it is unlikely the Nigeria international will extend his stay following the humiliation he suffered on deadline day.
