Brown Ideye Unhappy About Goal-scoring Deficiencies.
Published: February 10, 2015
West Brom striker Brown Ideye has accepted criticism and is hoping to live up to his billing in subsequent matches for The Baggies.
The Nigeria international joined West Brom last summer from Dynamo Kiev for a fee of ten million pounds, but he has managed only 2 goals in the Premier League.
“Since I came here I have not been the Brown Ideye people know – and I feel bad about it,” Brown Ideye was quoted as saying by expressandstar.com.
“That happens – if you are not at your best, people talk. They are right in everything they say; I should be on top of my game but you cannot be on top of your game when you are sitting on the bench.
“I just have to keep on pushing on and if I only get 10 or 15 minutes I just have to prove myself.”
Ideye was linked with a shift to Qatari club Al Gharafi last week but the move did not materialize.
