World Champions Golden Eaglets Beat Niger In Africa U-17 Championship Opener

Fifa Under 17 world champions Nigeria took on Niger Republic in the opening game of 2015 Africa U-17 Championship, and they got their campaign off to a winning start after defeating the hosts 2 - 0.
The Golden Eaglets made a perfect start, scoring through Victor Osimhen after 17 minutes.
In the 27th minute, skipper Kelechi Nwakali added a second goal for the four - time world champions .
In their next Group A fixture, Nigeria will trade tackles with Guinea, who beat Zambia 1 - 0 on Sunday night, at the Stade Général S. k. , Niamey on Wednesday.
The Emmanuel Amuneke- led side top Group A after the opening round, level on three points with Guinea, who have an inferior goal difference.
