Arsenal Striker Alex Iwobi, Paul Onuachu Begin Training With Nigeria Under 23s

Arsenal striker Alex Iwobi was among the six foreign - based professionals that trained with Nigeria’s Olympic National Team on Monday evening.
Joining him are Danish - based duo Alhaji Gero and Paul Onuachu, Atanda Sodiq, Popoola Saliq and Oladele Oshobe.
Standard Liege have not sanctioned one - cap Nigeria international Imoh Ezekiel to travel to Abuja ahead of the team’s departure to Libreville, due to club commitments.
“There are so many Nigerians out there who can also play for this team, but you all must show to Nigerians that you have what it takes to be the next class of Super Eagles, and for you to achieve that you must convince the nation on the field of play with your performance, ” said coach Samson Siasia.
From the pool of players in camp, 18 of them will make the trip to Gabon.
