Coach Manu Garba Praises Flying Eagles After Defeating Ghana
Published: February 19, 2015
The Flying Eagles defeated their Ghanaian counterparts 2 - 0 in a friendly ahead of next month’s African Youth Championship.
Skipper Musa Mohammed put away his spot - kick in the 70th minute before substitute Ifeanyi Matthew doubled the advantage in injury time.
Coach Manu Garba has showered praise on his charges for their performance, especially in the second half.
“We had a much better second half after our pep talk at half time. It was also a better performance for my team than what we showed in the first match.
“Ghana too are a very good team and I tip them to go past Group B at the AYC,”,” stated Flying Eagles coach Manu Garba.
The Flying Eagles have been drawn in Group A of the AYC alongside hosts Senegal, Congo and Ivory Coast.
