Non - League Team Okagbue Academy Beat Enugu Rangers In Friendly

Ahead of the start of the Nigeria Professional Football League, Enugu Rangers squared off against Okagbue Academy in a friendly held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Tuesday.

The non - league side defeated their illustrious opponents 2 - 0, with Chidioke Abia and Kelechi registering their names on the score - sheet in the 35th and 57th minute respectively.

Before the clash against the Flying Antelopes, Okagbue Academy drew 2 - 2 with NPFL vice - champions Enyimba in Aba while newcomers Gabros of Nnewi were held to a 1 - 1 draw.

Okagbue Academy took part in the 2014 edition of the Federation Cup, having won the state finals.

Some of the star players on their roster include ex Enugu Rangers man Chidioke Abia and Maduka Orji, who used to play for Yenigbugazici in Cyprus.
