According to the official website of Arsenal, Anglo - Nigerian forward Chuba Akpom has to wait to make his debut in Europe&rsquo;s flagship club competition, the UEFA Champions League. <br /><br />Manager Arsene Wenger has omitted the England youth - teamer from the squad list that took off to France on Monday afternoon for tonight&rsquo;s eagerly anticipated meeting with Monaco.<br /><br />Brazilian defender Gabriel, who joined The Gunners from Villarreal in the January transfer window, has taken Akpom&rsquo;s place in the roster that squared off against West Ham this past weekend.<br /><br />It also means attacking midfielder Alex Iwobi will not be on parade at the Stade Louis II on Tuesday.<br /><br />Both Akpom and Iwobi were unused substitutes on matchday six of the Champions League in the 4 - 1 win over Galatasaray. <br /><br />Photo Credit : arsenal.com<br />
