Match Agent Jairo Pachon Reveals Bolivian Federation Has Not Informed NFF Of Cancelled Friendly
Published: March 18, 2015
Colombian agent Jairo Pachon, the match agent of the Nigeria Football Federation, has reacted to reports in the local press, making reference to the foreign media, that suggested that the international friendly between the Super Eagles and their Bolivian counterparts has been cancelled.
Carlos Chavez, President of the Bolivian Federation, told reporters that the armed conflict in Nigeria and the tense political situation forced the cancellation of the game.
“The Bolivian Federation signed contracts to play the friendly with Nigeria. As at this morning, there is no official communication from the Bolivia FA informing us that the game has been cancelled.
“We will know more in the next 24 hours, ” said Jairo Pachon to allnigeriasoccer.com.
If the tie between Nigeria and Bolivia fails to hold in Uyo as earlier advertised, it means the Super Eagles’ only fixture during the international window is against South Africa on March 29.
Through official channels, the Nigeria Federation confirmed last Thursday that the game will go ahead as planned at Akwa Ibom International Stadium.
