Chelsea Starlet Dominic Solanke Training With England Senior Team
Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke trained with England’s senior national team for the first time on Tuesday morning ahead of their European Championship qualifying fixture against Lithuania on Friday.

The Anglo - Nigerian was invited to practice with the first team squad by manager Roy Hodgson after collecting his award as the Youth Player of 2014, an accolade voted on by the England coaches.

Following injuries to Liverpool pair Adam Lallana and Daniel Sturridge, the 17 - year - old was drafted in to make up the numbers.

Dominic Solanke was training with England Under 18s but he had to cut short the exercise to receive the prestigious award from England sponsors Vauxhall.

2014 was a triumphant year for the Reading born forward after assisting the Young Three Lions win the European Under 17 Championship staged in Malta.

He finished the tournament as the joint top scorer with four goals along with Netherlands youngster Jari Schuurman.

Dominic Solanke has 25 appearances under his belt for the youth teams of England, including 5 for the England Under 18s.
