NFF Says Eagles Will Not Treat South Africa Game As A Friendly
Published: March 28, 2015
Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) Technical and Development Committee Chairman, Felix Anyansi - Agwu says the Super Eagles will not treat the game against South Africa on Sunday as a friendly.
He has pointed out that the Super Eagles will try to win back the fans following their dismal showing three days ago at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium against Uganda.
“We are here for serious business. No match between Nigeria and South Africa is a friendly. They always put all their effort into it, and that is why we also have to do the same.
“The defeat to Uganda in Uyo was quite painful, and the players know the only way Nigerians can forgive them for that mishap is to defeat the Bafana Bafana,” said Anyansi - Agwu.
The match between the two regional powerhouses will begin at 1530 hours at Mbombela Stadium, Nelspruit.
In 11 previous meetings against Bafana Bafana, Nigeria have won seven, drawn three and lost once .
