Daniel Amokachi Is Taking The Bull By The Horns, Names Strong Line - up To Face South Africa
Published: March 29, 2015Interim Nigeria manager Daniel Amokachi does not want a repeat of the dismal showing against Uganda last Wednesday.
The retired Super Eagle is taking the bull by the horns, and has named a strong line - up for the exhibition game against South Africa, which begins less that two hours from now.
Though he arrived camp late following his late call - up, Warri Wolves glovesman Daniel Akpeyi is on the match list.
Rizespor defender Godfrey Oboabona did not make the list, with Daniel Amokachi preferring Leon Balogun, Chima Akas, Kenneth Omeruo and Nelson Ogbonnaya in defense.
There is a new addition to the midfield that started against Uganda, as Kingsley Sokari is set to make his first start for Nigeria in an A international.
It means Reading midfielder Hope Akpan and Lazio youngster Eddy Onazi get to keep their spots.
Skipper Ahmed Musa, Aaron Samuel and Moses Simon have been named to start in attack.
