Sporting KC Defender Ike Opara Earns Spot On Latest MLS Team Of The Week

For the second week in a row, Sporting KC defender Ike Opara has been selected in the ceremonial MLS Team of the Week for the latest round of matches.
The former USA youth - teamer netted the match - winner after 12 minutes against New York City at the Yankees Stadium on Sunday.
And on top of that, the 26 - year - old Ike Opara helped Sporting KC post a clean sheet for the second time this season.
“Solid defensive performance in SKC’s first win of the season by the veteran center back that included a game-winner,” the editors of mlssoccer.com said about Opara.
Obafemi Martins and Sam Adekugbe made the Team of the Week on match day one and match day two respectively.
