Published: April 01, 2015
Bayern Munich might be missing the services of wing - back David Alaba
in their remaining Bundesliga fixtures plus the Champions League.
The 22 - year - old sustained a knee injury in Austria’s 1 - 1 draw with Bosnia Herzegovina on Tuesday, and according to initial prognosis, he could be out of action for eight weeks.
Reports in Austria suggest that the Austrian - Nigerian may have torn his cruciate ligament after Bosnia defender Ermin Bikcaic fell on his knee.
“I am in a great, great deal of pain, can barely walk, and don’t really know what’s happening,” Alaba was quoted as saying by Kronen Zeitung.
Despite picking up a knee injury in November, Alaba has netted 5 times in 28 outings for Bayern Munich in all competitions this season.
