Sporting Kansas Ike Opara Comes Third In MLS Player of the Month For March

Nigerian American defender Ike Opara came third in the Etihad Airways MLS Player of the Month award for March.
The former USA Under 23 international was named to the official Team of the Week for the last two games, helping Sporting KC keep two clean sheets in those matches.
Octavio Rivero was chosen as the most eye catching player for last month with 26.6 percent ahead of ex Real Madrid and AC Milan star Kaka, who came second with 26.2 percent.
Ike Opara received 19 percent of the poll voted for by the fans at the official website of the league, mlssoccer.com.
In March, the 26 - year - old got on the score sheet two times.
