Foreign Teams Mulling Over Move For Chippa United Stopper James Okwuosa
Published: April 15, 2015
With the summer transfer window set to open a couple of months from now, South African - based agent Mohammed Lawal, who manages the affairs of Chippa United defender James Okwuosa, says some clubs are mulling over a move for his client.
The Nigeria international has played nonstop at The Chilli Boys for the last three seasons, and has been consistently linked with a shift from the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
“Yes, he is wanted by some teams but there is nothing concrete at the moment,” said Mohammed Lawal to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“Ever since he came here, always at this stage, you find teams enquiring about him but the move never happens.
“This time, we want to handle it differently. We prefer to keep the identities of the clubs until it is done.
“He is fine preparing for their next game which is very crucial for them.”
The former Enugu Rangers stopper has recorded 17 appearances in the PSL in the 2014 - 2015 campaign, picking up 6 cautions in the process.
