Supersand Eagles Skipper, Isiaka Olawale : We Want To Come First In Our Group
Published: April 15, 2015
Supersand Eagles skipper, Isiaka Olawale, has vowed that Nigeria will not take their foot off the pedal in their last group game against Ivory Coast on Thursday at the ongoing African Beach Soccer Championship .
Nigeria are through to the semi-finals of the competition following their 4 - 1 thrashing of Egypt on Wednesday, with Olawale netting his second goal of the tournament.
“The game against Egypt was the decider, and that’s why it was so difficult. They lost their first game and we won our first game and that made it difficult.
“If they had defeated us, there was a possibility of them beating the host country (Seychelles ) in their last game, so that made it difficult.
“We want to come first in our group , so the game against Ivory Coast is very important to us, ” Isiaka Olawale told allnigeriasoccer.com.
The Dolphins of Port Harcourt midfielder has participated in four editions of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, scoring 12 goals.
