Published: April 19, 2015
Daniel Chima has started repaying his Chinese club Shanghai Shenxin for investing in him in the winter transfer market, having scored his third league goal against Changchun Yatai.
On the flip side, Shanghai Shenxin suffered their sixth straight loss of the new season on Saturday, losing 4 - 1 to the visitors.
“My team is a very small team with lots of players that are yet to get used to the heat of the game.
“The target this season is to remain in the Super League and at the moment we are far behind plan.
“We are going to keep working harder and encourage the younger ones to play more without fear,” said Daniel Chima to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The ex Molde man has netted half of his team’s goals since the league began despite missing a large part of pre - season training .
“I was already in pre- season with my previous team before I came here, so it wasn’t much of a stress because the fitness was already there.
“All I needed was to see what the coach really required of me and I work towards it,”he added.
Shanghai Shenxin will tackle Derick Chuka Ogbu’s Liaoning Whowin in their next fixture.
