Published: May 03, 2015
Speaking after netting his 15th goal in the Cypriot top flight on Sunday, Ifeanyi Onyilo has admitted that Ermis Aradippou would have secured the three pointS against Anorthosis if not for the missed chances.
The Red Star Belgrade loanee scored from the penalty spot in the 13th minute but Esmaël Gonçalves equalized for the visitors early in the second half.
“It was a tough game but we could have killed the game in the first half .We had some good chances in the first half but we couldn’t convert it, and unfortunately in the second half they equalized.
“I am not the regular penalty taker but I insisted on taking this one because I am a goal away from the top scorer,” Ifeanyi Onyilo told allnigeriasoccer.com.
The 24 - year - old will be hoping to increase his tally when Ermis face AEK Larnaca next weekend.
