Published: May 05, 2015
Nigerian striker Sylvester Igbonu ended his three - month wait for a goal in the Danish Superliga by scoring in the second half in FC Midtjylland’s 5 - 2 thrashing of Randers on Monday night.
The 24 - year - old’ s 78th minute strike took his tally for the season to nine goals in the league alone.
Should he hit target two more times in the remaining six matches, he would break his personal record of 10 goals which he set in the 2013 - 2014 campaign.
At the MCH Arena, Igbonu lasted 90 minutes while compatriot Rilwan Hassan was subbed off in the 64th minute.
Defensive midfielder Izunna Uzochukwu was named in the 18 - man squad but did not come off the bench.
