Super Eagles Maintain 45th Position In Fifa Ranking

On Thursday, football governing body, Fifa, published its latest ranking of National Teams.
Compared to their position the previous month, deposed African champions, the Super Eagles, remain in the same 45th position. Even in the continental ranking, Nigeria remained stagnant as they are still number eight in Africa.
Algeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Tunisia and Senegal are the top five teams in Africa in that order.
Our rivals to book a ticket to the next African Nations Cup - Egypt, Tanzania and Chad - are placed 51st, 107th and 152nd in the world ranking.
Germany, Argentina, Belgium, Colombia and Brazil make up the top five positions in that order.
The next ranking will be published by the official website of Fifa, fifa.com on 4th June, 2015.
