Official : Millwall Release Defender Danny Shittu, Retain Youngster Fred Onyedinma

Following their demotion to the third - tier of English football, Millwall have embarked on cost cutting measure by releasing several first team players.
Unfortunately, Nigeria international Danny Shittu was one of those affected, the official website of the London club announced on Thursday.
But the good news is that Anglo - Nigerian Fred Onyedinma was one of the 20 players retained at The Den ahead of the 2015 - 2016 campaign.
Experienced defender Danny Shittu spent three years at Millwall during which he recorded 69 appearances in the Championship scoring 2 goals.
A product of Norwich City, he had spells with Queens Park Rangers, Watford and Blackpool amongst others before his move to Millwall.
