Obafemi Martins Scoops MLS Goal Of The Week Award

Seattle Sounders striker Obafemi Martins has won the AT&T Goal of the Week Award for the ninth round of games in Major League Soccer.
His 66th minute strike against New York City FC in which Clint Dempsey fed him a back heel before he beat goalkeeper Josh Saunders landed him the accolade.
Obafemi Martins garnered 47.67 percent of the votes followed by Sebastian Giovinco of Toronto, who finished with 28.48 % of the votes.
New England Revolution star Charlie Davies and FC Dallas pair Mauro Diaz and Fabian Castillo were the remaining nominees.
Switzerland international Innocent Emeghara was chosen as the Goal of the Week winner in Week 2 while Martins first won the award this season on match day seven.
