Exclusive : Isaac Success To Join Flying Eagles In New Zealand, As NFF Finally Reaches Agreement With Granada
Published: May 13, 2015
The Nigeria Football Federation has been holding high - level talks with La Liga side Granada over the release of Isaac Success to the national team for the Fifa Under 20 World Cup which begins on May 30.
The Federation’s credibility would have been seriously dented one way or the other if it had not listened to the argument of Granada, who had pleaded that the attacker’s arrival in camp should be delayed due to the club’s poor league position.
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the NFF and Flying Eagles backroom staff have assured Isaac Success that his name has been included in the squad list for the tournament in New Zealand.
Based on the agreement Success reached with coach Manu Garba, he will fly straight to New Zealand on May 24, just as Gent forward Moses Simon, instead of traveling with the delegation.
His flight ticket which is being processed by the NFF will be routed from Spain to New Zealand.
The 19 - year - old’s international passport is still with the Flying Eagles team secretary in Germany.
