Hibernians Youngster Joseph Mbong Named To Malta Roster
Published: May 14, 2015Hibernians striker Joseph Mbong is set to add to his international caps at youth level, having been named to the provisional roster for Malta’s clash with Moldova and Latvia Under 21 sides.
The 17 - year - old will compete with Hibs teammate Degabriele, Montebello and Zammit for one of the positions in attack.
Mbong represented Hibernians 16 times in the league in the course of the season, including 7 starts.
He scored his first professional goal for the champions in the FA Trophy penalty shootout - win against Balzan in February.
Joseph Mbong is still eligible to play for Nigeria but his priority for now is to represent the senior national team of the Island Nation.
