Chidi Omeje Delighted With AFC United Form
Published: May 15, 2015
Speaking after netting his third goal in four league matches, Chidi Omeje has opined that his team ought to have snatched the maximum points but Patrik Eriksson failed to award a goal.
The Nigerian striker was on target for AFC United in the 25th minute before Johan Lundgren restored parity for GAIS five minutes after the interval.
“ I have to give credit to my teammates for helping me settle down and the coach for his fate in me, I also try to give my best every time I’m on the pitch!
“We had chances to score but we couldn’t finish it off. We also scored a goal but it was ruled offside which I don’t think was offside!” Omeje told allnigeriasoccer.com.
AFC United are seventh on the table with 10 points and will next face Värnamo in the Superettan.
“ It is going to be a tough game like all the games we have played but we will give our best like we always do and hopefully we get 3 points again , ” the AFC United number 70 added.
