Mfon Udoh Pulls Out Of Afcon Qualifier Against Chad Due To Illness
Published: May 23, 2015
With the approval of the Super Eagles coaching staff, Enyimba striker Mfon Udoh has pulled out of the African Cup of Nations qualifier next month against Chad.
Last season’s top goalscorer in the Nigerian Professional Football League sat out Enyimba’s clash in the topflight against El Kanemi on Wednesday as a result of the same undisclosed ailment.
“Mfon Udoh is an important member of this team and he will be back once he has fully recovered,” Stephen Keshi said, according to thenff.com.
“He reported to camp so that the Super Eagles medics can assess and also advice him.
“They have asked him to take enough rest and avoid any strenuous activity so that his recovery can be faster and more comprehensive.
“Once he fully recovers,he will always get his chance with the team.”
Mfon Udoh has scored four goals in the league so far this season.
