Kogi United Fired Up For Yobe Desert Stars Cracker
Published: May 29, 2015Players of Kogi United FC have resolved to give their all as they prepare to host Yobe desert Stars in this weekend’s Week Three of the NNL.
The match billed for the Lokoja Confluence Stadium on Saturday will be used to get back to winning ways for the Wada Boys after two back-to-back draws in their fixtures.
The club’s defensive midfielder, Peter Owoicho noted that the Confluence State club have been lifted with an important point secured from Supreme Court last week adding that the encounter against the boys from Damaturu will be used get to their winning mentality back.
“We are seriously ready for the weekend match, it’s very important, in fact, I can tell you we are on fire now and with God on our side, we will beat Yobe Desert Stars well on Saturday, ” begins Owoicho.
“It’s not too good we drew our last match at home, but one point we picked in Abuja (against Supreme court) really helped us and gave us confidence to go into the next game, we are working to get the three points, we can’t afford to drop any now you know this is abridged league and by God’s grace we will make our fans happy once again,” the former Kaduna United utility
player said.
When asked about his team’s chances to pick the ticket to the Apex League, Owoicho said Kogi United will take their games as they come with total seriousness and determination.
“It’s our target to promote to Premiership but we want to approach games as they come, we will try our best to get points on the road and secure maximum victories in all our home games, we will play with all our minds and by God’s grace we will get there,”he added.
