Team News ; Kogi United vs Yobe Desert Stars
Published: May 30, 2015
Head Coach of the Wada Boys, Yomi Elijah has dubbed this the winning strategy, as he believes the players selected for this important match are capable of getting the first victory of the season.
That determination reflected in the selection of players ready to play host to Yobe Desert Stars at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Detan Ogundare will replace injured Salisu Ogbe who could not shake off a groin injury he suffered against Supreme Court in the goalless draw last Friday.
Jatau Joseph, who was outstanding in Abuja is the other goalkeeper named in the team.
There are no changes in rearguard as the technical crew kept faith with the likes of Governor Ernest, Iko James, Sanusi Pedro, Tenimu Abubakar and captain Afolabi Abiodun who performed excellently well against the Apex Boys (Supreme Court).
Few changes were made in midfield as both Ademati Kazeem and Nelson Ukwa are set for their start for the Confluence state club, Alex Adamu is also making a return to the team after he featured in the opening day fixture against Spotlight.
Coach Yomi stated that fans, supporters and other well wishers of Kogi United would be thrilled to an entertaining and winning performance from his boys just as he solicited for their prayers and support in the match on Saturday 30th May 2015.
