Eddy Onazi Pleased to Bury The Demons
Published: June 01, 2015
Eddy Onazi , 22, waited until the last day of the season to net his first goal of the 2014 - 2015 campaign.
In a dramatic game held at Stadio San Paolo, The Biancocelesti were trailing their opponents by two goals before a second half revival that saw them score four times, with Onazi hitting target five minutes from time.
With 16 games under his belt in the just concluded season, the Nigeria international has admitted that he had a tough season but was pleased to bury the demons against Napoli.
“Big thanks to God for the strength to carry on in the face of challenges. This couldn’t have been possible without your grace.
“Thanks to my lovely loyal fans who stood by me all these while. Bigger thanks to those who doubt it all; you spur me on to get even better.
“I dedicate my goal to God almighty, my lovely fans. #WeDidItTogether #TheBestIsYetToCome #WeMadeIt #ChampionsLeague, ” Eddy Onazi said in a series of Tweets.
Onazi’s 85th minute strike against Napoli means he has ended the last three seasons with at least one league goal for Lazio.
