Keshi Retains Eight Domestic - Based Players For Afcon Clash Against Chad

Of the 26 domestic - based players invited for the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad, Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has retained only 8 for the upcoming tie in Kaduna.
Half of the home - based players that made the grade are from Warri Wolves - Daniel Akpeyi, Azubuike Egwuekwe, Solomon Kwambe and Gbolahan Salami.
Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Chima Akas, Bright Onyedikachi and Ikechukwu Gabriel complete the list.
Meanwhile, Keshi has released the players from Warri Wolves to enable them participate in this weekend’s Confederation Cup game against AC Leopards of Congo at the Warri Township Stadium.
Fifteen overseas - based players led by skipper Vincent Enyeama and Ahmed Musa were also called - up for the AFCON qualifier.
