Izunna Uzochukwu Bids Emotional Farewell To FC Midtjylland
Published: June 08, 2015Izunna Uzochukwu has bid farewell to Danish Superliga side FC Midtjylland after close to nine years spent at the MCH Arena.
The 24 - year - old was on the bench on Sunday afternoon as The Wolves won their 22nd game of the season by beating SønderjyskE 2 - 1, with goals from Martin Pusic and Marco Ureña.
“The plan is to go somewhere else, experience something new, have a new life and get a new team. A challenge and move on with it, ” said Uzochukwu to fcm.dk TV on Sunday after the league game.
“The best thing is to go somewhere else where I will be able to play as much as I want. I still have a lot to offer out there for people to see.”
The defensive midfielder added : “Apart from the title I have developed on and off the pitch. As a human, there is a lot of things to improve in life. It’s not about football, FCM have helped me a lot.
“Hopefully I’ll be back. I have been here for almost nine years, you never can tell what will happen.”
Izunna Uzochukwu joined FCM from collaborative team FC Ebedei and played 150 league games for the club before announcing his departure.
