Germany U20s Coach Hails Flying Eagles For Putting Up A Fight
Germany Under 20 National Team coach, Frank Wormuth, has shared his thoughts and impressions on his country<span class="">’s hard fought 1 - 0 win against Nigeria in the second round of the 2015 Fifa Under 20 World Cup.<br /><br />The European champions will face another African side, Mali, in the quarter - finals on Sunday thanks to </span>Levin Oztunali’s first half goal against the Flying Eagles. <br /><br />“I like Nigeria and they are very good technically, which makes them extremely difficult to play against,” Frank Wormuth told reporters.<br /><br />“We were able to keep the ball under pressure and that was our only chance to break through their defence.<br /><br />“ In the end, I give congratulations to my team for finding the answer to the problems Nigeria posed us.”<br /><br />Statistics have shown that the Nigeria Under 20s lost concentration in the first half during the tournament, with opponents scoring 75 percent of the goals they conceded before the intermission. <br /><br />Photo Credit : fifa.com<br />
