Liverpool Winger Jordon Ibe Eager To Add Goals To His Game
Published: June 27, 2015
Jordon Ibe wants to work on his goalscoring as he reckons that it would be difficult for Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers to drop him from the squad if he adds goalscoring to his game.
The 19 - year - old has appeared 14 times for The Reds in the Premier League without finding the back of the net, and he has started to worry about that statistic.
“I want to play in lots of games. I’d like to play in the Champions League eventually,” Ibe told Official Liverpool FC Magazine.
“But I know I’ve got to start chipping in with goals. I realise this season we haven’t scored enough. If you score goals, it’s easier to win matches.
"And from a personal point of view, if you score goals it’s a lot more difficult for the manager to leave you out.”
Jordon Ibe was snapped up on a season - long loan by Derby County in August 2014 but his form was so good so much so that he was recalled from the Championship club in the winter transfer market.
