Allinigeriasoccer.com can confirm a report by Africanfootball
that Nigeria youth - teamer Zaharaddeen Bello is attracting concrete
interest from Desportivo das Aves.
Muzammil Dalhatu Yola, the coordinator of Dabo Babes Academy, has revealed that negotiations with the Portuguese second - tier club are ongoing, and has stressed that his priority is to see the central defender join a team where he’ll be guaranteed match time.
“We received a proposal from Aves two days ago. There are conditions they are giving us, we have sent them our own demands,” said Muzammil Dalhatu Yola to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“It’s either they consider our demand, we meet at a point or decrease it. Our concern is for Zaharaddeen Bello to develop.
“If you look at the past Golden Eaglets squad and the Flying Eagles, he was one of the used players in the team.”
For a start, Bello has been offered a one - year contract by Desportivo das Aves although both parties can extend the agreement for an extra season.
Having said that, he is a minor and won’t be able to sign a professional contract with Aves until January 2016.
RSC Anderlecht and AIK Stockholm had held talks with the 17 - year - old’s intermediary but didn’t firm up their interest by tabling an offer.
