Portland Timbers forward Fanendo Adi has been nominated for the Etihad Airways MLS Player of the Month Award for June.<br /><br />Joining the 24 - year - old on the five - man shortlist announced on Wednesday are Sebastian Giovinco (Toronto FC), David Ousted, (Vancouver Whitecaps) , C.J. Sapong (Philadelphia Union )and Mat&iacute;as P&eacute;rez Garc&iacute;a(San Jose Earthquakes).<br /><br />In the month of June, Fanendo Adi scored four goals , including the brace he netted in the Timbers 4 - 1 thrashing of Seattle Sounders last weekend. <br /><br />The Nigerian helped Portland Timbers defeat New England Revolution by notching a brace in the 2 - 0 win.<br /><br />The DP was recently voted the most outstanding player in the MLS for the 16th round of games.<br /><br />Photo Credit : timbers.com<br />
