Kunle Odunlami Leaves Morocco Empty-Handed Without Signing Raja Casablanca Contract
Published: July 07, 2015
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Sunshine Stars defender Kunle Odunlami has returned to his homeland empty-handed without bagging a contract with Raja Casablanca.
The Nigeria international arrived in the North African country at the start of last week to undergo a routine medical before appending his signature to a minimum of a two - year deal with The Green Devils.
But after the recommendations of newly employed manager Ruud Krol, the club later insisted that they must run the rule over the central defender before bringing out their cheque book to acquire him from Sunshine Stars.
After a few days of training under the watchful eyes of the Dutch coach, Raja Casablanca have jettisoned the idea of offering him a contract.
Kunle Odunlami’s troubles are just beginning, with Sunshine Stars suspending him indefinitely for traveling to Morocco without authorization.
But he is expected to argue that he is being owed four months wages by the Akure Gunners, meaning he can unilaterally terminate his contract with just cause.
