NFF Abandons Gloria Ofoegbu After Picking Up Injury At AWC
Published: July 07, 2015Our attention was drawn to a Super Falcons player by name Ofoegbu Gloria, who sustained a knee injury while on international duty for the country.
She captained Nigeria at the 2012 U20 World Cup and has always been showing commitments in her quest to defend the colours of the nation.
The left-back couldn’t make the Super Falcons team to the recently concluded FIFA Women’s World Cup due to the injury.
Check her record for Nigeria, the lady has really served the nation and shouldn’t be neglected like that.
According to what we gathered, the cost of operation is very expensive and she needs the support of the authorities.
Remember those dashing runs at the 2012 U20 World Cup, remember the way she tore apart Cameroon in a qualification game for the Super Falcons.
Remember the brace she netted at the 2013 Fed Cup Final, remember the brilliant free kick she struck in the 2014 AWC for Nigeria.
Do we allow this lady suffer after serving the nation so much? Do we continue to allow our ladies suffer after winning laurels for the nation? Majority of these girls are bread winners of their families.
The NFF listened to our pleas on the need to come to the rescue of Obinna Nwobodo.
Now it’s the turn of a lady, who is dedicated to the game.
