Suleiman Abdullahi Steals The Show As Nigerians Clash In Norway
Published: July 11, 2015
Flying Eagles striker Suleiman Abdullahi worked 77 minutes in attack before he was subbed off for compatriot Osita Henry Chikere in Viking’s 4 - 1 humiliation of Aalesund in the Norwegian Tippeligaen.
There was plenty of Nigerian interest in this game, with as many of five Nigerian players expected to feature at the Viking Stadium.
And they all got game time, with Abdullahi, Adegbenro (both Viking) , Akeem Latifu and Leke James (AaFK) all making their respective teams starting line-up.
But it was Suleiman Abdullahi that stole the show, having opened the floodgates in the 4th minute plus created an assist for Böðvarsson two minutes before the intermission.
The 18 - year - old has netted 6 goals across all competitions so far this season.
