Aaron Samuel Disappointed Despite Bagging Brace For Guangzhou R&F
Published: July 16, 2015
Aaron Samuel had mixed feelings about Guangzhou R&F ’s 2 - 2 draw with Guizhou Renhe in the Chinese Super League on Thursday.
The Nigeria international was delighted to bag a brace but was not pleased that his team failed to secure the maximum points after conceding an equalizer two minutes from time.
“It was a good game, we had our chances and utilized them. We didn’t finish well, we were relaxed and that’s why we conceded late, ” Aaron Samuel told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“Yes I am disappointed that I didn’t score a hat - trick but I didn’t have a bad game. It’s just that we failed to pick up the three points.”
Unlike last season, Guangzhou R&F are not competing for the title this time around, and Samuel has pointed that they were on a poor run in the first stanza.
“This season has been a bit difficult for us, we started to lose games at a point.
“We are doing everything to correct that and finish at least fifth on the table at the end of this season. We have 11 games to go and have to fight more,” the Guangzhou R&F number 25 concluded.
The CSKA Moscow target has scored 6 goals from 13 games in the league this term.
