Chicago Fire DP Kennedy Igboananike Ends Six - Week Goal Drought

Chicago Fire have set up a meeting with Philadelphia Union in the semi - final of the US Open Cup after defeating Orlando City in the last eight of the competition.
Kennedy Igboananike was in action for 24 minutes, helping Chicago Fire defeat the opponents by three goals to one, with the attacker scoring twice in the closing stages of the game.
The 26 - year - old first hit the back of the net in the 87th minute before increasing his tally in the 90th minute.
Before his goals changed the outcome of the match, teammate Patrick Nyarko’s third minute strike was cancelled out by Cyle Larin in the 56th minute.
Kennedy Igboananike last scored in a competitive fixture on June 7 prior to Wednesday’s game at Toyota Park.
