Anthony Ujah Plays Down Werder Bremen Title Chances

Werder Bremen striker Anthony Ujah is refusing to get carried away by
his club’s pre - season form and has played down their chances of
winning the Bundesliga title for the first time since 2004.
The River islanders are undefeated in 8 pre - season fixtures and have scored goals aplenty, with the Nigeria international notching his eighth goal during preparations in the 3 - 1 win over Europa League holders Sevilla last weekend.
“It was a close game actually but we took our chance. Both teams played attractive offensive football, ” said Anthony Ujah to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“We where the better side in the first half while Sevilla came came strongly in the second half but we held on to the win.”
The ex Lillestrom star continued : “We have done really well in the pre-season and worked together as a team.
“We are ready to have a good season but as a title contenders I don’t want to be optimistic about it because we have a young team and have to see what happens from game to game.”
Werder Bremen’s pre - season form will be examined when they take on Schalke 04 in their Bundesliga opener on August 15.
