Published: July 31, 2015
Action will continue this weekend in the Nigeria Women Premier Football League, as teams battle for supremacy in the two groups.
In Group A, the action spot would be in Oleh, where Delta Queens will trade tackles with Ibom Angels in what is the star match of the week.
Both sides, have the best of players, many of whom are on national assignment with the Super Falcons in Bata, Equatorial Guinea but that would not take away the glamour that would go with the match.
Soccer fans would surely have a lot to cheer in the encounter. In Ede, high riding Osun Babes would not spare Martins Whites Doves when both sides meet.
League highest goal scorer, Precious Edewor of Osun Babes, may likely increase her goal tally in today’s match. Adamawa Queens would be host to Bayelsa Queens in Yola, while FC Robo would have their hands full as the host Confluence Queens of
Lokoja.
The Wada girls would have to redouble their efforts if they would want to secure a point in Lagos.
In Group B, Edo Queens would be home against City of David United Ladies. The Adams Oshomole girls, would surely have their hands full as they confront the highly motivated girls from Redeem Church.
In Akure, Sunshine Queens would host the rejuvenated Capital City Doves from Abuja. The Abuja girls who are now in top shape since the resumption of the League, would be a hard nut for the Queens from Akure to crack.
