Dream Team VI Star Oghenekaro Etebo Pleased To Get Super Eagles Call - Up

Warri Wolves attacking midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo has expressed his delight at his invitation to the national team by new Super Eagles manager Sunday Oliseh.
The former Udinese trialist has admitted that the national team handlers took notice of him after impressing for the Dream Team, especially as he was one of the players that rose to the occasion in the African Under 23 Championship qualifiers against Congo.
“This is not the first time I have been invited to train with the Super Eagles, it is my third time, ” said Oghenekaro Etebo to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I am very happy and I thank God for making it possible. It’s a matter of hard work to make it happen.
“It’s very important for a young man starting my career to get this call - up, I am not perfect or the best and I will put in more effort.
“I think my performance for the Dream Team contributed to the call - up, I have to admit that.”
It is an open secret that at least eighty percent of the players that will make the final roster for the AFCON qualifier against Tanzania will be based overseas but the 23 home - based players will have the chance to prove their worth during the get - together.
