Nathan Delfouneso Saves Blackburn Rovers From Defeat As Hope Akpan Makes Debut

Nathan Delfouneso netted his second goal of the season across all competitions as Blackburn Rovers shared the spoils with Huddersfield in the second round of matches in the English Championship on Saturday.
Wells gave the home team the lead in the ninth minute before the Anglo - Nigerian rescued a point for Blackburn Rovers on the hour mark.
New signing and Nigeria international Hope Akpan was named on the substitutes bench but later joined the fray a minute before Delfouneso equalized for the visitors.
Nathan Delfouneso, who is well known for his spell at Aston Villa, opened his goalscoring this season in Blackburn Rovers’ 2 - 1 loss to Shrewsbury Town in the Capital Cup five days ago.
He debuted for the Lancashire side in the league last weekend against Dominic Iorfa’s Wolves.
